A NEW SUBSCRIPTION MODEL

I live in India and here we face a lot of problems when it comes to electricity like load shedding, high electricity charges in metropolitan societies and the electricity bills differ as per the states and areas which makes some people less charges compared to others from other cities where the former’s consumption must be more than later.

Due to the above reasons by introducing a subscription model, this will make it possible for people to as per a pay-as-you-go model as follows:

a. This service enables users to pay for their electricity consumption based on a subscription model. Users now face load shedding issues and pay higher charges for the consumption based on the area and many times end up paying for electricity even when they don’t use it while this new service enables users to pay only for the electricity they use.

b. This is not a monthly, weekly or daily plan but is a unit-based plan wherein a user pays for a plan which is available in units wherein a user can choose from 10-unit plan to 100 to 1000+ based on his consumption and requirement. It will be a prepaid plan as opposed to a postpaid plan (which he can choose as per his preference) and he will have an app that gets updated every minute and lets him know how many units have been consumed and how many are left in his plan just like our internet data plan.

c. Internet plans are data-based or unlimited and don’t have proper signal in some areas while streaming services are country-based (certain movies are available only in specific regions) and all services don’t offer proper sharing services while the electricity subscription plan doesn’t have any such restrictions and is available in every area/region based on the same pricing plan while taxes applicable would differ. There is also a sharing model wherein users can share their units with other users and the same service could be used by multiple users at the same time without having any device-based restrictions.

The electricity-based subscription service would have the following features:
i. Subscription plan: Household plan:10, 100, 1000, 1001+ units (each extra unit would come with a base charge of Rs. 5) . Commercial plan: 1000, 10000, 20000 units…(each extra unit would come with a base charge of Rs. 10)
ii. Connections: Users could choose to install the services at more than one place and the user would only need to pay a one-time fee for installation and can then use units as per his need by selecting his houses.
iii. Start/Stop/Pause: After purchasing the plan, the user can choose to start his plan and his electricity supply would start and he would get notifications via email/sms or via an app based on his preference. Similarly, he could choose to pause and stop his electricity supply.
iv. Sharing: The use could choose to share with multiple users and given an option to do so wherein he can choose at first to share with a particular number of users and then edit or delete the users. He can choose to give the users access to his units either to view them or use them or borrow them or keep them private. All the units can be used simultaneously.
v. Marketplace: There would be an option wherein a user can either choose to buy units from this service (Rs. 5/unit) or from individual users at a lower price and they can even choose to sell their units at a lower price than what the service offers. The buy/sell orders will not be subject to any trading fee but cannot be sold via external sources.
vi. Buyback: The service can buy back the units purchased by the user at a fixed rate lower/higher than the market in bulk.
vii. Donate: A user can even donate his units to under-privileged or charity organizations who can get electricity for free from this service. He can also donate his units to other users.
viii. Complaint box: Any complaint regarding the services or plan consumptions or misuse of the units can be registered with this option and immediate responses would be given.
ix. Discounts/Vouchers: Electricity vouchers can be also purchased and if a user purchases above 10000 units for his household at one time in the form of vouchers or via a plan, he can avail discounts.

The above features will be available without any network or coverage issues and would work as follows:

A user would buy a subscription of, for example, 1000 units. He starts the service and his electricity supply is switched ON. He pauses it when he is asleep or to check his consumption and when he chooses to stop, his supply gets shut down and no more units are consumed. For each option he would have to enter a 2FA code to prevent misuse. He chooses to share 100 units with user A, 200 units with user B and chose to donate 50 units to charity. He can see how many units are being consumed by other users whom he has shared units with and he can choose to take back any unconsumed units at any time. He can also sell the unconsumed units in the marketplace.

Inspiration:

I have lived in an area that has rare power cuts while now I am temporarily living in an area that has frequent power cuts. I have noticed that compared to the former place in the same state, I am paying more in the current area for each unit of electricity. I also pay a fixed monthly rental fee even though I don’t use any in the previous house which is unfair and when I am travelling, I don’t use any electricity at home and hence I thought of a subscription model that lets me per as per my use.

Benefits:

The consumers would love to have a subscription model for electricity and share units with their family members and even buy/sell units in the marketplace and all at the same price without having to pay any fixed monthly rental. Especially in India where the charges are heavy for electricity and many areas suffer from load-shedding like Navi Mumbai, Bangalore and so on, this subscription model would be a relief for all the residents.

A-one a new beauty product for women (My imagination and innovation)

Background: Women are the foundation of mankind and we always believe in the saying “Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder” but it’s not REAL beauty as others shouldn’t define our beauty because beauty comes from within and is not just external. Every woman is beautiful in her own way and our product “A-one” which means “All-in-one” defines that aspect of a woman: Her natural beauty.

Main concept: The image shows a woman who is independent and wants to reach out to all the elements her body is made up of: oxygen (in red), carbon (in black), hydrogen (in white), nitrogen (in dark blue), calcium (in light green) and phosphorous (in orange). These are the 6 main elements a human body is made up of and these form the basis of the cosmetic brand “A-one” which is a moisturizer brand and has different types of moisturizers that can be used day and night creams, sunscreen creams or just as moisturizers.

What is A-one?

A-one means all-in-one. It is basically an all-in-one moisturizer that has the basic 6 elements a human body is made up of as it’s base. It contains the following ingredients:
1.    Oxygen (Hydrogen peroxide): Hydrogen peroxide is the ingredient that contains oxygen which is necessary for the skin as it works as a cleansing agent for the skin and removes dead skin. It’s additional property is that it can be used as an antiseptic as well.
2.    Carbon (Coal): Coal is a famous cleansing ingredient used in many cosmetics while this moisturizer uses coal tar which is extracted from bituminous coal and this helps in purification of the skin.
3.    Hydrogen (Chia seeds): Chia seeds are rich in not only carbohydrates that contain hydrogen but they contain phosphorus and calcium as well. They have omega 3 which can be used to maintain the moisture level in the skin and prevent dryness, irritation and make the skin soft and smooth. It can also be used as an anti-aging solution for the skin.
4.    Nitrogen (Spinach): Spinach is rich in nitrogen and it has many benefits for the skin as well. It helps to reduce skin inflammation and makes the skin clear preventing any acne and works as an anti-aging solution and plus helps in skin whitening.
5.     Calcium (Mango and sesame seeds): Mango butter is rich in calcium and is used as a skin-conditioning agent. It keeps the skin soft and closes open pores and is good for all skin types. Sesame seeds have anti-bacterial properties that protects the skin and works as a cleansing agent and also works as a sunscreen. It detoxifies the skin.
6.    Phosphorous (Sunflower): Sunflower seed oil contains phosphorous and helps the skin retain its natural moisture and it remains radiant and prevents dark circles and skin pigmentation.

All the above ingredients form the base of the A-one moisturizer making it a complete source of natural elements present in our body and can help moisturize the skin and keep it glowing and radiant.

Who can use this moisturizer?

This moisturizer can be used by women of all ages but is made specially for young women of ages 18-34 because the skin of these women keeps changing as they age and their skin is different from the skin of women below and above this age. They have different skin types based on their sleep hours, work hours, workout hours, environment changes and the type of work they do.

Assumptions:
Women between the ages of 18-22 are mostly women who study and hence their skin is prone to acne plus they probably workout and are more exposed to the sun. They are also physically active.
Women between ages 23-30 are mostly working women who work in the office and they go through stress and workload.
Women between ages 31-34 are working women and/or housewives who are not much exposed to the sun but they do house-work, work in the office and get less time to work out. Their stress is even more.

The above assumptions can be incorrect as well but considering the skin of the women in the age group 18-34, we can identify their skin type according to the above-mentioned factors:
1.    Women between ages 18-22 can use a moisturizer that is rich in calcium, oxygen, phosphorous and oxygen.
2.    Women between ages 23-30 can use a moisturizer that is rich in oxygen, carbon, calcium and phosphorus.
3.    Women between ages 31-31 can use a moisturizer that is rich in oxygen, carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen and calcium.

It mainly depends on the sleep hours, work hours, workout and hours they are exposed to the sun.

Grandparent's Day - A Grand Day

I wasn’t aware of this day before and I’m glad that Blogadda gave me a chance to celebrate Grandparent’s day on 10th September that’s just a day away from now. It’s true that our parents have grey hair but a golden heart, however, it’s also true that for us they are more than our friends that our grand-parents. I’ve been so close to my grandmother as I’ve ever been to my mother and the reason is that my grandmother understands me a lot better as there are almost 3 generations that pass from her to me, her own parents and grandparents upbringing and her raising up her own kids. She passes the experiences and memories of these 3 generations and this itself makes our relationship a beautiful memory.

I live far away from my grandmom and I lose my grandfather when I was 3 years old. I remember that when I was a child, how she used to feed me with her own hands and let me watch TV as I was very stubborn when it comes to food. I used to not eat food from my mom’s hand but prefer eating form my grandmother’s hand as she used to tell me stories while feeding me as well as add few snacks like chips and dry fruits to let me enjoy my meal. These are some things that always remind me of her whenever I have my food today. She is now disabled and hence my aunt feeds her and looks after all her daily necessities.

We give her gifts on her birthday and on other days as well but this time since it’s a day dedicated to grand parents only, I’ve decided to celebrate it a way she would love rather than like a regular celebration. The things I plan to do are:
I wish to visit her in person and feed her the same way she used to do. I remember that she used to jump with joy when mom used to make for her nasi gore and patties. That’s her favorite dishes which she barely gets to eat these days as my aunt doesn’t know how to make those dishes. I’m sure she’ll be delighted to eat them as it has been months she has tasted them.
Along with these food items, my grandmother loves watching Bollywood movie movies and her favorite actor is Raj Kapoor and hence I’ll surely carry a DVD of Barsaat and Mera Naam Joker that she would be watching after almost 25 years as the last time she watched the movie was with my Grandfather. It’ll bring back those memories.
I’ll also make her visit the garden and pluck fresh roses for her which she used to do as a child and she loves pinning them in her hair as well. She will meet her friends in the garden and I’ll give the other elderly people too roses and a tight kiss as a gift for being so kind hearted and loving as al grand-parents are.

These are some thing I would do to make my grandmother remember this auspicious day and as she is not fond of luxurious gifts, she would love this simple way of a celebration. #LoveJatao aur #LovaPao

I look forward to hear from you how would you celebrate Grandparents Day. Do share a selfie with your grandparents on Sept. 10, 2017 on Twitter or Facebook with #LoveJatao & tag @blogadda to win a goodie from Parachute Advansed.

#ColgateMagicalstories: Once Upon a Time with Hottie

My Nephew's Magical Story: Once Upon a Time with Hottie

A magical story weaved by my two-and-a-half year old nephew who is a Mr. Bean cartoon series fan and has a filmy keeda just like I do. Hence the story is a combination of Mr. Bean characters and has Bollywood masala incorporated in the story. He has given the characters their names, personalities and jobs and I’ve helped him to build a story around these characters. Lots of action, lots of fun and here it starts:

Character Sketch:

Main Characters:

Hero – Mr. Bean aka Hottie

Mr. Bean is the main protagonist of the story. He’s an astronaut and is smart, jovial, intelligent and fearless. Mr. Bean loves travelling around space and finding materials and elements from planets that can save the world and improve the environment.

Heroine – Miss Irma Gobb aka Cutiepie

Irma is the future love interest of Mr. Bean. Being the only lady astronaut, she has many admirers but she considers Mr. Bean to be extremely handsome and is impressed by his intelligence and goal to save the environment. She is bold, beautiful, fearless and quite sensitive.

Villain 1 – Mr. Pran aka The Meanie

Pran, the famous villain of Bollywood. Mr. Pran here is again the villain but the most dashing one. He is the most handsome astronaut and all the girls call him “The Handsome Hunk”.  He is very smart, intelligent and cunning. He is Mr. Bean’s competitor and always wants to beat him in all his experiments.

Villain 2 – Gulshan Grover (Bad man)

Gulshan Grover, another famous villain of Bollywood movies. Here he is the real bad man who is an alien. He is cunning, evil and also has a dirty character. My nephew calls him the Bad Man as he is very bad towards Mr. Bean and his main goal is to earn lots of money by destroying the environment.

Other Characters:

Mars – Lottie

Lottie is Cutiepie’s best friend. She is smart, beautiful and extremely talented. She keeps giving tricks to Cutiepie to help her complete her mission and win every battle. She is Teddie’s girlfriend and Naughty’s friend. She likes both of them but loves only Teddie.

Saturn – Teddie

Teddie is Mr. Bean’s best friend and Lottie’s boyfriend. He always tries to avoid Lottie from talking to Naughty and gets jealous when they do interact. He is calm, composed and cool in nature and tries to give new ideas to Hottie whenever required.

Comet – Groonie

Groonie is an enemy of Hottie. He once was caught by Hottie stealing important elements from the Sun aka Naughty. From then, he tries to stop Hottie from completing any mission. He is evil and uses his heat to burn elements within a closer range.

Sun – Naughty

Naughty is a friend of Mr. Bean aka Hottie. He comes time and again to help Hottie with his experiments and once Hottie helped him to make friends with Lottie who he has a crush on. That’s the reason he always is ready to help Hottie. His nature is always energetic and in a dancing mood. His main motto is to impress Lottie.

Venus – Maddie

Maddie is Meanie’s best friend. He is selfish, mean and cunning. He knows how to manipulate things and help Meanie to accomplish any task he fights against Hottie.

Prologue:

“Where am I? How did I wake up here? The fire…How will I escape?” Hottie keeps asking himself as he wakes up on an unknown planet. He finds himself surrounded by fire and no way to escape. No human no alien…It is just him in his spacesuit.

“Please help…Help me…” He screams for help but there’s nobody around to come and help him.

Plot/Main Story:

Chapter 1:

Hottie landed on an unknown planet for an experiment. He was sent in a UFO and landed on the unknown planet in search of a mineral and this mission was termed “Mission Possible”. For this mission, he first needs to find a spaceship that can help him travel.

UFO

While walking on the planet, Hottie came across an unknown stone and went to pick it up but as he bent down to pick it up, he was struck by fire. It was Groonie.

“Hello, Hottie. Remember me?”
“Groonie, what are you doing here?”
“I’ve come to make your mission fail. You will never get your spaceship.”
Groonie leaves Hottie stranded alone on the island with no help.

Spaceship

After 8 hours…

Hottie cries for help and faints.

“Wake up Hottie. You can’t fall asleep. My rays will help you get your energy back.” Hottie opens his eyes and notices Naughty before him.
“Naughty, you’re here?”
“Yes, I noticed Groonie following you and I knew he was upto some tricks. And I was right. The fire has been extinguished and now you’re safe.”
“Thanks a lot, Naughty…I’m happy you came to help me. But now I don’t know how to get that spaceship.”
“Yeah, I know. Groonie trapped you in fire and hid the spaceship you needed but I know the way to get it.”
“How Naugthy?”
“Here is an iceship that will help you reach your destination. It will keep you safe from groonie too as it’s coldness will absorb Groonie’s hotness.”

ICESHIP

After an hour…Hottie gets his spaceship and poses for a selfie.

Chapter 2:

“Finally, I’ve cleared one stage. Now I’m on the second planet and need to wait for Cutiepie to come and give me the access pass that would take me to the third and final stage.”

Hottie tells himself and keeps waiting for Cutiepie but she doesn’t arrive even after 3 hours.

“I don’t know why she is taking so long. She should have been here long time back and her spaceshift left 4 hours ago. Where are you Cutiepie?” Hottie keeps walking about and he notices somebody walking towards him.

“Hello Hottie…The one you are waiting for is with me.”
“Meanie…you are here…You have Cutiepie? What did you do to her? If you harm her, I won’t leave you.”
“Relax Hottie. You know how much I love Cutiepie but she loves you. I kidnapped her and will get the access pass from her. I’ll defeat you this time.”

Meanie leaves and doesn’t hear Hottie’s pleads. Hottie goes in search of Cutiepie and finds the place where she has been kept. He sends his best friend Maddie to torture Hottie and not let him succeed in rescuing Cutiepie.

When Maddie tries to harm Hottie, Lottie appears and rescues Hottie and Cutiepie. Good always wins and evil people get destroyed. Cutiepie and Hottie succeed in trapping Maddie and Meanie in a cage and Hottie gets the access pass with which he unlocks the new spaceship’s code and bids his love, Cutiepie good bye.

Hottie went to his new destination and Meanie returned back to Earth.

Chapter 3:

Here comes the most tough challenge before Hottie. While Hottie is searching for the mineral, he meets Bad Man who has the mineral with him. He gives Hottie a hint to find the mineral by telling him it’s hidden in his vehicle. Hottie needs to find it in 30 minutes but when he finds it, he would get destroyed by the light of it.

“I know Bad Man that you planned this for me. You knew I’ll come here in search of the mineral and so you hid it in your vehicle and also planned a way that will get me killed.”
“You are so smart, Hottie. You know it well how much I love your entire team who destroyed my planet. How can I let you humans live a second? But still to help you before you die, I give you another vehicle (My Rover) to travel around this planet. Good luck with your search.”

The ROVER

Bad Man's Vehicle

Hottie uses the Rover to travel and he meets Teddy.
“Teddy, what are you doing here?”
“I have come to help you, Hottie. Lottie told me about your mission and it’s my duty to help you out as you are my best friend. I’ve come to take you to the vehicle of Bad Man. I traced it through his footprints.”
“You’re so intelligent, Teddy. Let’s get there.”

Hottie and Teddy reach the vehicle and Teddy protects Hottie by covering the entire vehicle with colgate toothpaste to avoid the light from harming Teddy. Teddy manages to get the mineral from the vehicle and then leaves to reach Earth.

The entire NASA team get together and test the mineral that can save the Earth.

Epilogue:

After completing Mission Possible and saving the earth and environment, Hottie decides to propose Cutiepie with the help of Lottie.

Cutiepie gets shocked at first as she always knew Hottie loved her but she was still waiting for him to propose to her.

Finally, Cutiepie and Hottie get engaged and married. They have a daughter Sweetie and they want her to be an astronaut and do the same job what her parents did “Save the World.”

Kaabil Review

Image result for kaabil

Here’s my review of the movie Kaabil:

Rating: 3 out of 5

Story: The story begins with the lead actors Hrithik Roshan (Rohan) and Yami Gautam (Supriya), who are blind, meeting at a restaurant which is said to be their first date. Rohan works as a dubbing artist and Yami is a piano teacher. They both don’t have plans to get married as they feel that two incomplete people cannot complete each other. The story then progresses and Supriya gets to know Rohan as a man who can protect her and they both have a bright future together. They get married and life gives them a new chance to be happy with each other. However, their happiness is short-lived and an evil man Ronit Roy (Amit) who eyes Supriya’s beauty and he and his friend physically assault her. Rohan and Supriya try to seek justice but being blind and helpless, they don’t succeed. The next day, Supriya commits suicide and Rohan gets to know from Amit’s brother, Madhavrao Shellar, (Ronit Roy) that she had been raped the second time. Rohan loses his control and warns the police department that he’ll seek revenge but they won’t be able to stop him. The story of revenge then begins.

Direction : The Director of this movie is Sanjay Gupta. Sanjay has done an excellent job. The story is similar to other revenge stories where the female lead is physically assaulted and the husband seeks revenge but here the male lead being blind brings in a lot of WOW moments as it proves that being disabled doesn’t make a person helpless but he is more powerful that abled humans.

Star Performance : The star cast of this movie consists Hrithik Roshan, Yami Gautam, Rohit Roy, Ronit Roy and Narendra Jha. Hrithik had played many good roles in his career but I can say that the role of Rohan Bhatnagar has been one of his career’s best roles. Yami too matched his acting ability to an extent and their chemistry was fab. Rohit Roy was quite disappointing as his role was storng but he did not try to put an effort and look evil compared to his real-life brother Ronit Roy who had a short role but a powerful one in which he excelled. I haven’t seen Narendra Jha’s performance earlier but he too did a great job as an inspector and was convincing in playing a cop.

Music : The music of this movie is given by Rajesh Roshan. This kind of a movie did not need any songs but there are still a few of them. The songs like “Kaabil Hoon” and “Mon Amour” were pleasant ones.

Plus Point :  Being a revenge drama, the movie has done a good job. The movie had many new elements that made us watch how a blind man can seek revenge and this was presented very well by the director and actor.

Minus Point : The only minus point of the movie is that the story was short and it did not have any suspense as to how the blind man finds out the culprits or how do the enemies find out that the blind man is seeking revenge. The story was quite predictable and had no elements that made me feel shocked or surprised at any moment.

All In One : All in one, the movie is a good one-time watch and Hrithik Roshan and Ronit Roy put in a lot of effort into their roles that makes it a total entertainer. The chemistry of Hrithik and Yami too has come out so beautifully and they playing such a role for the first time convincingly made their performance so believable. I give it a total of three stars (2 for the revenge element and 1 for Hrithik’s performance).

Chennai - A place with the best people, food and culture

It was the year 2012 when my college booked a trip to Chennai and we there was a makemytrip offer at that time where we were offered good discounts which is why we booked 3 rooms in Trident hotel from their website. We were offered very good deals and packages and since we all shared the expenses, we had to pay very less compared to paying individually for the same. Chennai is known to be a very hot place but since the hotel atmosphere was completely the opposite. It was quite cool and pleasant to be there. The wind had an awesome energy that made me feel that my decision to be in Chennai was the best as before that, I and my friends had shortlisted many destinations and it was my idea to come to Chennai.

The hotel staff greeted us at the entrance and made us feel very special as they knew we were tourists and we had been visiting Chennai for the first time. The staff introduced the place to us by talking about how it was called Madras before and now it’s named Chennai. They also explained what is the specialty of the place, the different tourist spots and the food that we would enjoy the most as he was aware of what was served in Mumbai and what we would and should try eating in Chennai at their restaurant. I found that quite supportive of them as I had not researched a lot about the place and getting so much information from him was very useful.

The staff was so cooperative that they even made us get the best transport that took us around Chennai and made us witness the amazing tourist spots like the Kapaleeshwara Temple, Fort St. George and Marina beach. We were overwhelmed by the people of Chennai as they made us all feel so special and at any point we needed help, they were ready to guide us. On reaching the hotel, we were so tired that we ordered food in the room itself and I loved the chicken and fish the hotel served. It was very appetizing. The hotel room was spacious and the beds were very soft and comfortable and we were three girls who shared the same bed. I asked the room service for few more pillows for my friends and the staff immediately provided the same.

I did not realize when our stay of 4 days and 3 nights in Chennai ended as we just loved everything over here. The hotel, food, markets, beaches and the tourist spots that we had visited made us go back with a hand full of memories and I wish to visit this place again and book the same hotel Trident.

My birthplace Goa #LuxuriousStay

It was in May 2010 that I and my family visited the beautiful state, Goa. It’s my birthplace and it was the first time I had seen the place as before when I visited this place, I was just few months old and it was my mom who had brought me to my grand mother’s house. This time, we had no place to stay as our ancestral property had been sold and hence I booked a hotel online. I found that Holiday Inn Resort had the best rates and hence we checked in this hotel. The entire package was booked and hence our stay, food, travel and sight-seeing was managed in the package itself that made our trip comfortable and exciting.

When we reached the hotel, the staff welcomed us gracefully and we were just asked for verification which lasted a few minutes and then were guided to our room. n entering the room, I could feel a positive energy as I do believe in vastu and this room gave me a positive feeling which was the first good thing I observed. The staff helped us in our luggage and arranged our things as per our guidance. I found them very police and helpful and everything we needed was provided to us. The beds were big enough for me and my family and comfortable as well and as per the website that we had checked before booking the room. There was a TV, Wifi connection, AC, Fridge and I could name a thing that I required and it was present in the room. I was very happy as everything was going according to our plan.

They had all the arrangements done in a perfect manner and the food that was served was mouth-watering and just superb in taste and presentation. The staff kept serving us the dishes we preferred to order and every time he kept asking us if we needed more which I found was very humble and gentle. The manager too was extremely cooperative and polite. During our stay, we had a complaint with regards to the AC as it was not working properly and the manager then helped us a lot. He got it repaired while we were out and by the time we came back, everything was done and he was perfect in his service. The staff too kept helping us in finding the nearby market areas where we could shop and we many times left our things at the reception and got them back in our room which I found was excellent about this resort.

My 3 days stay at Holiday Inn was super exciting and memorable and I’ll always remember how they brought me so close to my culture and my birthplace and made me feel as a valued customer in Goa.
