Share your expertise ------ Tips on saving money

There are few things which we do in our daily life and think that we are managing our daily expenses well but instead we over spend and this hampers our budget and financial status as well. The few methods of saving money and managing the household budget are listed below and they can really help in not only managing our budget but also we can get how and where we can use the money to increase our income and use it in a useful manner. Few of the methods in which one can manage their budget and minimize our expenses are listed below:

1. For managing the grocery expenses, we can should buy all foodstuffs like Atta, Rice, Oil in bulk so that it lasts for at least two to three months as we get a discount rate for buying and the grocery stores also offers like buy 2 KGs and get 1 KG free. These offers can be availed and we will spend almost 30% less than the normal amount we spend for our grocery expenses.
2. Changing the brands which are popular and expensive and instead purchasing products of brands which are reliable and are reasonably priced as well.
3. Paying for our bills like Dish TV or internet bills for 6 months or 1 year as every ISP or DTH service provider offers a discount or a 1 month free dish connection/ internet connection for paying for the advance payment.
4. Using CFC bulbs save a lot of electricity and this change will be reflected in the monthly electric bill as well.
5. Using mobile recharge plans like pay Rs. 60 and get lower calling rates or ISD rates and even there are full recharge/talktime plans or additional benefits. Paytm and Mobiwik are few websites which offer cashback on mobile recharges and bill payments as well
6. Making use of public transport instead of taxis and rickshaws helps us in saving money and walking to nearby areas can help to reduce our cost/expense.
7. Avoiding the consumption of junk or fast food and going to cinemas often. Instead, it is better to subscribe to movie channels on your Dish TV by paying Rs. 50 per movie. It helps to save the expense of paying Rs. 200-300 for each ticket and the family can enjoy movies at home itself while outings can be 2-3 times in a month.
8. Switching off the charger of phones when the mobile is completely charged, offing lights and fans when nobody is present in the room are other ways which we sometimes miss out.
